For MAC Users:

You may be having a difficult time viewing an eBay Live Auction using a Macintosh. At this time, we cannot guarantee that Mac users will be able to view the live auction Java applet as the auction progresses. Some Mac users have found success participating in Live Auctions by installing the most up-to-date versions of Apple MRJ (Mac OS Runtime for Java) and Internet Explorer.

You can download the most recent Apple MRJ (2.2.5) from the following link:

http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/mac/377

You can then download Internet Explorer 5.1 from:

http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/mac/2904

You can install both of these simply by clicking on the files listed below and following the instructions.

  • The Apple MRJ file will be called: MRJ_2.2.5.smi.bin
  • The Apple MRJ file will be called: MRJ_2.2.5.smi.bin
  • The Internet Explorer file will be called: ie51eng.sit
