| WOW--A VERY RARE HAND EMBELLISHED ARTIST'S PROOF BY THE LATE ZAMY STEYNOVITZ!!! Few people reach a level of fame where they are instantly recognized by the mention of their first name. When people of any level of art awareness hear the name ZAMY, they know immediately that the speaker is referring to ZAMY STEYNOVITZ. This is a wonderful serigraph entitled "LOVEBIRDS" that has a classic ZAMY theme ,two lovers. This one is approx 14.5" by 11.5" and printed on hand deckled paper. It is HAND signed & numbered by Zamy himself. About Zamy: Zamy Steynovitz was born in Poland in 1951. Zamy studied at the Art School, Tel Aviv, and at the Royal Academy of London. His images are reflections of his Jewish and Eastern European heritage. One of Israels most popular artists, he maintained studios both in New York and Tel Aviv. Widely exhibited, he was honored by Heads of State throughout the world. His works have been presented by official bodies to President Jimmy Carter, Prime Minister Begin, Pope John Paul II and the Dalai Lama. He was an ambassador of peace and his works speak of love, joy and the sanctity of family life and all creation. Some of his works suggest the magic of Chagall brought alive in the colors and style of the present generation. Zamy worked tirelessly in the creation of paintings, serigraphs, and embellished serigraphs, along with the publication of books, calendars and other artistic collectables until his untimely passing in the year 2000. |
